The Land of Dragons and Dreams

Benjamin is graduating from high school. When his parents don't arrive for the ceremony, Benjamin thinks it's because they are too busy to show up. The police arrive and tell him that his parents have disappeared. In the weeks that follow, Benjamin tries to pretend that everything is okay, but he keeps slipping into an alternate world.
In this other world there are strange blue knights, a medieval castle, a king and queen, a young princess, a friendly dragon, and his missing parents, who seem perfectly happy in their new life. This series begins with ScholarShipBound. In Shaara of Westla, Shaarvan saves his wife from being a slave on Freinana, and carries her off to Westla, the artificial planet of the Shapechanger. She begins training with the Priestess Tessa, and for a short time there is happiness, but war on Altar threatens, which leaves Shaara under the protectorship of four huge Warrior Shapechanger.
